COMMENTS: | The UV apparatus consisted of a deuterium lamp (source of continuous UV-VIS radiation, 180−500 nm), a gas cell with an optical path length of 107 cm, and a 0.5-m focal length spectrograph coupled to a cooled coupled-charged device (CCD)
Additionally, the most intense Hg line, 253.7 nm, of a pen-ray Hg/Ar lamp (Oriel) was also used to measure the single absorption cross section at that wavelength
Absorption cross sections at intervals of 0.15 nm have been obtained by personal communication from Elena Jiménez (July 2012). |
