An empirical temperature dependence of the absorption cross section was found for approximating the results obtained:

σ(λ, T) = σ0(λ) · Z-1 · exp (-A/[T]1/2)

where log σ0 = -18.77 + 0.0279λ and A = 603.27 - 5.296λ (λ in nm)

Z is the total vibrational partition function:

Z = [1 - exp(-1997/T)]-1 · [1 - exp(-960/T)]-2 · [1 - exp(-3380/T)]-1
