| COMMENTS: | IUPAC(2008) recommendation: The preferred values of the absorption cross-sections at 298 K are those reported by P.C. Simon, D. Gillotay, N. Vanlaethem-Meurée, and J. Wisemberg, "Ultraviolet absorption cross-sections of chloro- and chlorofluoro-methanes at stratospheric temperatures," J. Atmos. Chem. 7, 107-135 (1988); DOI: 10.1007/BF00048042; Aeronomica Acta A 324, 1-55 (1988). In the same study the temperature dependence down to 210 K has been reported, with the values at the shorter wavelengths being temperature-independent within the precision of the measurements. The values at longer wavelengths show a decrease as the temperature is lowered |
