NAME: uranium hexafluoride
FORMULA: UF6
AUTHOR(YEAR): Srivastava(1976)
T: 298K
λ: 43.5-310.0nm
BIBLIOGRAPHY: S.K. Srivastava, D.C. Cartwright, S. Trajmar, A. Chutjian, and W.X. Williams, "Photoabsorption spectrum of UF6 by electron impact", J. Chem. Phys. 65, 208-211 (1976); DOI: 10.1063/1.432799
COMMENTS: Photoabsorption cross sections of UF6 in the wavelength region between 206.7 nm (2.5 eV) and 43.5 nm (28.5 eV) have been derived from the UF6 electron energy loss spectra at a 5° scattering angle and at incident electron energies of 75 and 100 eV

The energy loss data have been normalized to the absolute scale by using the magnitude of the photoabsorption cross section at 225. 5 nm measured by

G.L. Depoorter and C.K. Rofer-Depoorter, The absorption spectrum of UF6, from 2000 to 4200 Å, Spectrosc. Lett. 8, 521-524 (1975); DOI: 10.1080/00387017508067354
